Last weekend (while the boys were winning the state soccer tournament), Quincy was the Technical Director for Pirates of Penzance at LCHS. She and Stu (Master Carpenter) worked on the set, with help from about a dozen other students, and there was a good audience for each of the four performances.
It made for a busy weekend, but was an excellent conclusion to much hard work on the
part of Stu and Quincy.

Yeah.....it was really hard to get all of the techies to be there for every performance. I was running around before every performance trying to get all of the jobs filled. The Sunday Matinee we were about four people short....almost got to work with some actor types who were in white, not black but......
At 1 the day the Show opened we were painting an addition to the set to make it look like there was a castle instead of a ship. At 5 we were putting the flats together and hoping that they looked like the castle....(They didn't that much) at 6 we were frantically taping masking boards to the front of platforms. At 7, when the house opened and we couldn't work anymore, we crossed our fingers and hoped that it would look good. Amazingly enough everything looked INCREDIBLE!!!!! the set changes went well, and it was the best set I have ever seen at Cruces. The show was awesome. :)
